Gynecomastia : Feminine breasts on males can be really embarrassing

Men have always wanted to have a muscular chest, rising above his abdomen. But if the chest region starts accumulating fat and swells to resemble that of a women, it can give him nightmares. No man would ever want to walk with female breasts. To save embarrassment, one may start wearing loose fitting shirts and hunch forwards at all times. He goes through terrible amounts of stress which can also lead to depression. It can strip a man of his confidence. Gynaecomastia can be easily corrected surgically by removing excess fat and glandular tissue by liposuction & excision.

Most boys, in their puberty, experience a certain flabby rise on his chest which resemble female bossom. But the symptom fades away in a few years. This is due to the hormonal changes that occur in this period. But in some people the condition prevails to a much later age. As a result the breast area begins to bulge and protrude sparing the areola and nipples. This change makes it impossible for the person to wear tight fitting clothes or ‘Ts’.

In most cases this condition can be reversed by exercise of the chest area and burn away the fat. But in some cases surgical intervention becomes necessary. A cosmetic plastic surgeon can suck out the excessive fat by a method called liposuction. This is done by making small incisions in the folds under the breast area. The procedure usually takes 1 to 2 hours under local anaesthesia. The person may walk home the same day after a few hours of observation.

The person feels comfortable soon after, however a few follow-ups may be necessary in some cases. He can go back wearing his favorite fitting shirts and T-shirts again.
